Fraud and Corruption

The Fraud and Corruption Framework applies to all LanguageLoop staff, executive officers, contractors, service providers, consultants, and funded agencies and organisations.

What is fraud?

Fraud is dishonest activity that causes actual or potential financial loss to any person or entity.

What is corruption?

Corruption involves dishonest activity where someone abuses their position of trust and acts contrary to the best interests of LanguageLoop to gain an advantage for themselves or another.

Public Interest Disclosures

Public interest disclosures used to be known as whistleblowing.

A public interest disclosure is a disclosure made in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012 (which replaced the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001).
