Q: Why is there an option to electronically sign-off jobs?
A: Electronic job sign off reduces the need to have paper forms signed-off, archived and
delivered at LanguageLoop. The job request is instantaneously updated in the
database upon electronic job sign-off, no further processing is required.
Q: What if you do not want to sign-off electronically?
A: Clients are not obliged to use the electronic job sign-off feature. It is available beside
to the existing hard-copy version, as an option.
Q: Do I need sign both a hard-copy/paper sign-off and electronic sign-off?
A: No, only one sign-off will be required, either electronically or hard-copy/paper-based.
Q: Which device can interpreters use for electronic job sign-off?
A: Interpreters can use any phone/tablet device with a touch-screen where they can open
LoopedIn on the browser to obtain your sign-off with either a finger or a stylus pen.
Q: When can jobs be signed off electronically?
A: Job sign off is only possible within a very short timeframe around the job time.
The ‘Claim Now’ button is only available to interpreters from just before the job start
time until after the job end time.
Q: Why do interpreters always still bring their hard-copy claim form booklet to
every job?
A: All interpreters are required to bring their hard-copy/paper claim form booklet in case
it is required by you. It can also be used as back up in case of any issues or job
extension beyond an hour.
Q: Can job extensions be claimed through the electronic job sign-off?
A: Job extensions are able to be extended for up to an hour through the electronic job
sign-off. Beyond this time, a hard-copy/paper claim form needs to be used.
Please note that you will need to acknowledge the extension.
Also be aware that any existing procedures on allowing extensions will remain in
place as before. If you have specific procedures for this, such as prior approval from
a language services department, this will operate as per usual.
Q: Will I still receive a copy of the sign-off and/or notification?
A: Yes, notifications will be sent immediately after sign-off.
Both the email address provided as confirmation mode when requesting the job and
the email address provided by the staff member signing off will receive a notification.
The interpreter will also receive a copy of this, as well as LanguageLoop.
