How language insights support CALD communities

At LanguageLoop, we’re always trying to go above and beyond for our clients. We like to work with our clients to understand their top languages and improve their ability to communicate with their multilingual customers.

Alfonso Ordonez LanguageLoop’s Enterprise Relationship & Implementation Manager, said their language insights enable government departments to make strategic decisions to further support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

“Our recent language usage report provided to Department of Education and Training included insights across Maternal & Child Health services informing the Department of the future language needs for kindergarten students,” Mr Ordonez said.

“These language trends are crucial for government departments when planning how to better service and engage CALD communities in their early learning.”

With over 40 years in the industry, LanguageLoop’s data driven insights can assist local government departments and organisations plan for the future.

Michael Quayle, from The Department of Education and Training (DET) Victoria said this recent report was able to breakdown language usage across five specific council locations within Victoria, giving them insight into the emerging languages that will need support for the next 5-10 years.

“It’s remarkable the type of data LanguageLoop can provide in terms of identifying the increasing demand of new and emerging languages throughout our community,” Mr Quayle said.

“Having these insights readily available enables us to plan years ahead, and consider important information that could be translated into new and emerging languages to better support our CALD communities at every stage of their learning and development.”
