VITS

VITS, the Victorian Interpreting & Translating Service, is seeking a dynamic CEO to lead the organisation into a new phase of development.

VITS is a Victorian State-owned business enterprise providing a range of language services primarily in the areas of interpreting and translating. VITS operates in a commercially competitive environment providing language services to Victorian State government departments and agencies, Federal Government, and the broader commercial market.

The CEO reports to a Board of Directors and will lead and manage a team of experienced staff as well as oversee a large pool of interpreter and translator contractors. The position embraces full responsibility for developing business strategies, business, financial and people management as well as building strong relationships with stakeholders including at political and government levels.

This is an exciting role in a key area of government and commercial development. We are seeking a person with a strong belief in the provision of high quality language services, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and sound business management capabilities. An understanding of Government business and policy settings would be beneficial.

An attractive remuneration package including an appropriate incentive component is offered.
